Pop Up Food Kitchen started as a placemaking project to transform underutilized spaces into memorable and inviting moments for the community. 

In 2027, we are piloting a 'grow where you eat' pop up, featuring fresh salads and green smoothies grown from a hydroponic garden built into the kitchen. To make it more fun, we're trying solar for the season!

Rental Details

The mobile unit is not operating regular hours between September 2026 and April 2027. Inquiries for use during the off season can be made to info@pavosventures.com. 

Rates are $100 for one day in the Des Moines area, $500 for the whole week, or $1,000 for the month. Within this fee, we can typically provide daily water fill, overnight parking, and delivery to the operating location, as negotiated. There is a soft serve, automatic espresso maker, hot coffee, and nitro maker, available as needed, as well as a mobile generator to power the mobile unit. 

The mobile facility has up-to-date transient licenses as well as a Des Moines parks permit to sell out of several of the area parks. We need at least 1 week in advance to update our health permits with the intended menu as well as proof of a catering license and insurance if intending to sell to the public from our unit. 

The unit is available for sale to a local foodpreneur for $30,000 with equipment and training provided.
